Plan Period: 4th Hour Room S8
Course Description: Physical Science is the foundation on which future science courses are built. Those fundamentals include basic lab techniques, problem solving skills, an understanding of the basic concepts used in Chemistry and Physics. Students enrolled in Physical Science will be challenged with problems requiring higher-level thinking and math skills in each unit, plus projects to construct.
Course Outline: The following list outlines the major units covered in this course:
1. Inquiry
                                       Scientific Measurement

                                   2. Properties and Principles of Matter and Energy
Types of Properties of Matter, The Atom, Periodic Properties & Tables,
Nomenclature & Formulas, Chemical Reactions, Chemical Bonding

                                   3. Human Body Systems Basic Structure and Function
Feedback Mechanisms, Homeostasis, and Hierarchy of Organization in
                                        Human Body Systems

                                   4. Impact of Science, Technology, and Human Activities
